Installation Precautions and Sealing Requirements for Steel Fire Doors
1. Installation Precautions for Steel Fire Doors
During the installation of steel fire doors, to prevent bending deformation of the door frame, wooden supports should be placed along the width of the frame. The bottom of the frame should be embedded 20 mm into the floor, and the frame must be welded to the embedded parts on the wall. Next, open a hole in the wall above the top corner of the door frame and pour concrete composed of cement, sand, and expanded perlite in a ratio of 1:2:5. The door can be used once the concrete has fully set.
2. Sealing Requirements for Steel Fire Doors
For steel fire doors, the overlap between the door leaf and the frame must be no less than 10 mm, and the gap on both sides between the leaf and the frame should not exceed 4 mm. After installation, the gaps around the fire door must not be too large. Otherwise, the door’s sealing performance will be compromised, and its ability to suppress the spread of fire and smoke in the event of a fire will be significantly reduced.
